Osteopathy is a non-surgical, drug-free form of non-invasive manual medicine which focuses on total body health. It does so by treating, re-aligning and strengthening the musculoskeletal framework (i.e. the joints, muscles and spine).
Each session is tailored toward the individual patient. Diagnosis is carried out through discussion, observation, orthopaedic tests and by using a highly developed sense of touch.
Treatment involves gentle stretching and mobilising techniques, soft tissue massage as well as joint manipulation all aimed to help facilitate healing.
Osteopathy aids many problems such as:
- Sports injuries
- Back pain
- Joint pain and stiffness
- Repetitive strain injury
- Trapped nerves
- Neck, shoulder and arm pain
- Leg, ankle and foot pain
- Digestive problems.
