What does it mean?
Our motto at the Backbone Clinics is; ‘Love yourself, Love your health’. Taking care of our bodies on a physical level is one of the many ways you can start to honour the wonderful being that is you.
Simple things like the food we eat, exercise we do, and even taking the time to rest and recharge are all ways we can do this.
Listening to our bodies…
Listening to the whispers our body gives us in the form of aches, tightness and restricted movement and addressing them at this stage with a visit to an Osteopath, or other body worker who can help unravel the tensions that have built up in the body and assist the body back to its optimum alignment. By doing this we not only feel better functionally, but we also prevent the next stage which leads to the body ‘screaming’ at us! We experience this ‘screaming’ as pain, spasms, and in some patients cases where they’ve ignored the whispers for so long, the scream actually leaves them physically unable to move or function at all! You can only ignore the body for a short while and then it will force you to listen.
So make the time to listen to and honour your body, it has carried you this far and is always working to keep you going. It deserves that time as do you. It’s the perfect partnership if you work together.
Inspiring you to Love Yourself, Love Your Health…..
