Pelvic Floor Dysfunction/Prolapse
What is a pelvic floor dysfunction:
Pelvic floor dysfunction is the inability to control and/or relax the muscles in the pelvic floor. This may result in issues with bowel movement, urinary issues, lower back pain and more.
The pelvic floor muscles form a basket which helps support and lift the organs in the pelvis; bladder, uterus, rectum. As the pelvic floor weakens, the position of these organs changes creating functional issues.
